Spatial Design for Colosso’s Pop-Up Padel space at the Australian F1 Grand Prix.
We recently worked with Cale Hooker, former Aussie Rules superstar, on his new Padel brand Colosso. The brief was to take the brand’s components and design a pop up space for their launch at the Australian F1 Grand Prix.
Our zoning plan for the visitor experience in the pop-up space included spectator bleachers, a kiosk with refreshments and lounge seating area, a sign-in desk space that incorporated storage, plus a 3D logo photo opportunity.
The detailing in each space was key, as the brand was just launching, and we wanted to emphasise the brand name as much as possible. We ensured the logo was visible for anyone interacting with the space, in particular for top down views from the seating area and for drone shots. We kept to distinctive existing brand colours, and utilised large logos throughout.
We also mapped out the visitor journey for Cale and the team, and pulled together reference material to ensure that every element was cohesive.
The Pit Stop Park Up ran all weekend, and allowed visitors to take part in a game of Padel, learn more about the sport or just watch from the sidelines. We managed to design an elevated and engaging space for Colosso’s launch, providing a memorable user experience.
